About Me

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and coming to find out a bit more about me.

My name is Megan, more commonly known as Tron.

By day I am an Engineer.

This is me at work. Do you like my hat?

The best part of my job is when I get to go outside which is why I am so happy here. Even if I spend a lot of the day poking my head down the drains.

By night (evenings and weekends) you can generally find me attempting to climb steep rock faces, chasing a plastic disc around a field, walking up big hills or cycling around the beautiful countryside near my home in Bristol.

In 2016 I completed a 5631km solo bike ride from London to Athens. The journey took me through 14 fascinating and diverse countries over 88 days. I was fortunate enough to encounter so many wonderful kind people and learn about different lifestyles to my own. You can read about some of the adventure here, here and here. Of if you prefer videos you should watch this.

This trip did not manage to satiate my appetite for adventure but has instead given my ideas for and more importantly confidence to take on future trips. It also taught me that I have a brilliant community full of wonderful friends here in Bristol and life will always be about balancing the two.

Unable to stay still for too long I will be setting off on my next trip in May 2017, this time a little closer to home. Hopefully proving that it is possible to have adventures in your good old blighty and within the limits of annual leave! I also hope to raise some money for local charity Young Bristol in the process.

Watch out for updates coming soon!

At the end of my Europe trip.
